Not so much

I've been contemplating this post for couple of weeks now. I even have several drafts saved. But thanks to Cookie and Cups post about Mommy Guilt I can say I fully agree with her. She said it all better then I ever could. I mean honestly, how many times has someone said to you, "You're Supermom!" I know I hear it quite often and everytime it makes me feel more of the opposite. Because I never feel like I do enough.

There's always something to do, some errand to run, some nose to wipe, some homework that needs help, some snack or meal to prepare, some clothes to wash, some chore to do, some....well you get the point. There's always something. And everyday I get more and more overwhelmed. More and more tired, weak, and closer to feeling like throwing in the towel and just giving up. Most days I can't juggle it all and feel like I'm barely floating above water.

But this is just me. I know I could give it more effort. Not sit as long on the computer reading blogs (thanks to all those that have me addicted :P ). There are women out there that truly give their all in being a mom, wife, and everything else that comes along.

Where do they get there motivation from?

What do you think makes a Supermom?

Are you a Supermom?

Me? not so much.

I feel so gulity when I start blogging or checking blogs and 2 hrs have pasted. My daughter is so good and playing and entertaining herself, so it is easy to get "lost" online. I need to watch my computer time better. :O)

I love your saying at the top of your blog- so true!! And I don't want to miss anything, so enough computer time for today!! :O)

Enjoy your weekend!!

I think you are a supermom ;) Not because you do the laundry or bathe the kids. You're a supermom to me because your love for them shows; you care enjough to feel like you aren't doing enough and at the end of the day no matter how much or little you "did" your kids are crazy about you and you're still crazy about them. I know, you don't like to hear it, but I think it's so true. Just sayin'.

I hear ya! I always feel so inadequate, but I also realize I bring it on myself by not managing my time well. The internet is fun, but I'm needing to cut back, I see. I do think being a supermom comes down to love. You might have moms always in a frenzy, doing this and that, but the moms who are the most super, in my opinion, are the ones who are making memories with their kids. You know, the little everyday things they'll look back on.

Thanks for the responses girls!

Definitely good points about quality time and love for your kids. That above anything else should be what makes someone a SuperMom. :)

Oh, how I feel your pain. I'm starting to think that "mommy guilt" is just part of being a mom. In some ways, I think that by reading blogs we make it worse on ourselves. We read what everyone else is doing and we compare ourselves to them...not stopping to think that we're only reading about a small portion of another's life. And while I do know there are a lot of honest bloggers, I also know that there are a lot of mommy-bloggers who only blog the good.

Ah, I'm going start rambling. Better cut myself off, lol. Just know, I relate to your post!

I wish I were supermom! I don't think I ever will be. At the end of the day, if my son is fed, safe and we all are still alive then I'm typically happy.

Hi- just came across your blog and feel the same way. I think most moms that feel the need for the world to think they are super moms- secretly have the same problems we all have- they just NEVER admit it! I personally love and respect a woman that admits being a mom isn't always fun or easy! (PS- I also have three kids, am a SAHM, and married to a PA!)
