Brogan has always loved cooking. I've taken him to cooking classes at the Young Chef's Academy and he loves it. I really try to let him help me out in the kitchen whenever I can but I've been slacking lately. So this afternoon while Caitlyn took a small nap on the couch, I asked Brogan to help me with dinner. We had fun and the dinner turned out great.

Stuffing the shells.
All done!
I did make a few changes to the recipe. It calls for Cottage cheese and I was grossed out by the thought of that so I used Ricotta Cheese instead. Also I didn't have a red pepper so I used a couple of tablespoons of Kraft Red Pepper dressing. My entire family loved these. Brogan and I will be making them again.
After dinner we noticed that some ugly clouds rolling in. I could only get a couple of pictures of the clouds before it started pouring on us.
As Dolly moves on, we'll get more rain. I won't be complaining though because we certainly need this rain. Bring on the movies and board games. I love rainy days.

That recipe looks really good; I bookmarked it!
I'd take the plunge and try cottage cheese next time. My mom always uses it in her lasagna and everyone always thinks it tastes great. I would probably drain it (Mom doesn't, but I would), though, just to keep things from getting too soupy.
Cute!!! My pastor's wife uses cottage cheese in her lasagna too. I haven't tried it yet...I'm so tempted though!
mmm, i love stuffed shells! they are so yummy...i try to let the kids help in the kitchen...but with 4 it always seems like one of them is sick, and in my "old age" i have become germaphobic..lol...but im getting better at it...i would probably use ricotta too, its more dense
Those look delicious and great that Brogan gets to help too! I use cottage cheese in my lasagna all the time. It is pretty common here and it tastes great. :)
hmm guess I should be brave and try it then. haha I just HATE cottage cheese. I think it's the texture that I dislike. Is the texture weird in lasagna with cottege cheese??
I am coming over for dinner.
