Life's been so busy the past few weeks. We went to Seattle to visit Hubby's family for the holidays. It turned out to be a nice trip given all the circumstances. We arrived back home in TX on New Years Eve. Then Kell started at school just 2 days later and it's been even more hectic since. He studies all the time. So I've been trying to keep myself busy with playdates. Man it's wearing me out. I just want one day to lounge around in my pj's and not do a thing. Yup that would be nice.

Homemade Ornaments
Thanks to a fellow Housewife for the recipe, the kids and I made homemade Christmas ornaments this year to pass out to the grandparents and aunts and uncles. They had so much fun making them! Super easy to make! Plus they smell amazing!!!!
Here's the recipe:
1 four-ounce can (approximately 1 cup) of cinnamon
1 Tbsp ground cloves
1 Tbsp. nutmeg
3/4 cup applesauce
2 Tbsp. white glue
In a medium bowl, combine cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. Add applesauce and glue, stirring to combine. Work mixture with hands 2-3 minutes or until dough is smooth and ingredients are thoroughly mixed. Divide into 4 portions. On lightly floured surface, roll each portion to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut dough with floured cookie cutters. (Make holes in the top if you want to use them as ornaments.) Place cut outs on wire racks and allow to dry at room temperature for several days. (For a more uniform drying process, turn ornaments over once each day.)
We had a ton to make and since we used bigger cookie cutters, I decided to double the recipe. I even let the kids measure everything and stir, etc.
